PAINESVILLE, Ohio — As the school year draws to a close and graduation dates approach, students across Northeast Ohio are working to figure out where they may want to go to continue their education.
One local boy, however, is going to have the pick of the litter. What's more, he's still a year away from graduating.
Painesville Riverside High School junior Joseph Grantham recently received a perfect score of 36 on his ACT exam. The test quizzes students in English, math, reading, and science, and in Ohio is often more important than the older and more-well-known SAT.
According to the most recent stats from PrepScholar.com, the average ACT score in Ohio is 20, while the national average is 20.9. In addition, the same site puts the average score for the top college in Ohio (Case Western Reserve) at 31.
Congratulations on an amazing accomplishment, Joseph!
