ELYRIA -- The Elyria Fire Department responded to a fire located at the Ramada Inn on Lorain Blvd. early Thursday morning.
Dispatch says the fire broke out on the 5th floor. Fire crews had problems with one frozen water hydrant and one buried in snow, which caused some delay getting water in the hose to extinguish the fire.
The hotel was evacuated, but guests and employees were able to return as of 2 a.m.
Multiple fire departments responded to the scene.
No injuries have been reported and officials are still investigating what caused the fire.
Elyria Fire Department says it's the property owner's responsibility to keep hydrants clear in the city.
