NEW YORK — Popular former Saturday Night Live cast member Molly Shannon is set to make her return to the show this weekend as the host!
Shannon, a Shaker Heights native and graduate of Cleveland's Hawkin School, was a regular cast member on SNL from 1995 through 2001.
During her time as a cast member, she created the iconic character of Mary Katherine Gallagher, which spawned the 1999 movie "Superstar" starring alongside then fellow SNL host Will Ferrell.
A promotional video released by Saturday Night Live on their YouTube account can be seen below.
Shannon first returned to SNL after her departure in 2007. She became the second female cast member to return to the show to host since Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
The Jonas Brothers are also scheduled to perform on Saturday's show.
