Playhouse Square announces cancellation of Sunday's matinee performance of 'The Wiz'

Guests who were supposed to attend the show will receive information about exchanging tickets for another performance within 24 hours according to Playhouse Square.

CLEVELAND — Playhouse Square officials have announced that Sunday's matinee performance of "The Wiz" has been canceled.

The announcement came on Facebook after a medical emergency happened with one of the cast members.

According to Playhouse Square, guests who were supposed to attend the show will receive information within 24 hours about exchanging tickets for another performance.

"We apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause and look forward to welcoming you back to Playhouse Square soon," said Playhouse Square in a statement on Facebook.

ATTENTION GUESTS of The Wiz Broadway. We regret to inform you that due to a medical emergency today's matinee performance of THE WIZ has been canceled. Please read on for full details.
