BEREA, Ohio — Baker Mayfield hopes to someday join the ranks of the NFL’s greatest quarterbacks.
But until he joins the likes of Johnny Unitas and Tom Brady, Mayfield will join another group of high-profile athletes: BodyArmor’s athlete partners.
Mayfield is the latest athlete to partner with the sports drink brand, adding him to a crop of names including Andrew Luck, James Harden, Mike Trout, Megan Rapinoe, Dustin Johnson, Donovan Mitchell and Mookie Betts.
On Wednesday, Mayfield sat down with WKYC's Jim Donovan for an exclusive interview to discuss his new partnership, his new marriage and his new season leading the Browns back to their glory days.

Founded in 2011, Body Armor is a sports drink meant to keep athletes hydrated.
"It's very important to athletes to put great things in their body, to make sure you're hydrated," Mayfield said. "Hydration and recovery are two of the most important things. Training's important but making sure you're hydrated and recovering are as well."
Mayfield said he was excited to join BodyArmor's elite group of athlete partners, but one in particular had him convinced.
"Kobe's been one of my idols since I was little," Mayfield said. "He's a big part of BodyArmor. Mentality-wise, there's nobody else like him."
Kobe Bryant joined BodyArmor in 2013 as a shareholder, investing $6 million in the brand for roughly 10% ownership, according to Bloomberg.
"It's very exciting going forward and being able to be a part of the team," Mayfield said.
