CLEVELAND — A recent report shows the Cleveland Metroparks' Lake Link trail sits on unstable ground.
It has been labelled as having "a high probability of failure."
The area in question is near Irishtown Bend, on the west bank of the Cuyahoga River.
The small strip of trail by Columbus and Carter roads runs between two pieces of private property.
That's where the stability issues were identified.
Metroparks CEO Brian Zimmerman says dealing with the issue is a group effort.
"We are all looking at the engineering report, we'll be working with the development that's proposed in this particular area. We'll be working with the city officials, we'll be working with the port and a whole host of others at what is the dynamic that's actually happening here," Zimmerman told WKYC.
No word yet on exactly what is causing the instability. Zimmerman says the trail will stay open for now.
