A new agreement between University Hospitals and Canton-based AultCare will open the UH network to adult members using standard network products.
The agreement’s completion was announced made Monday morning.
“The agreement, which became effective Dec. 1, creates access of AultCare members to UH’s primary care providers, specialists, ambulatory centers and hospitals,” officials said in a press release. “UH previously provided only tertiary services to AultCare members by authorization on a case-by-case basis. UH will now be considered a full service network provider in AultCare’s commercial and Medicare Advantage plans.”
AultCare is an insurer with more than 110,000 members in commercial plans and 17,000 Medicare Advantage members who primarily reside in Stark County and the surrounding area.
“This culminates several years of work in building our relationship with AultCare and winning their trust to be the best care provider for their members in the markets we serve,” said Cliff Megerian, MD, President of UH. “We will extend convenient and timely access to care to AultCare members and deliver for them a patient experience that is welcoming, individualized and unrivaled in the quality of care, as we strive to do with every patient we serve.”
UH will set up a concierge scheduling service to welcome AultCare members and help them schedule appointments with physicians.
