MENTOR, Ohio — Cleveland Clinic officials on Tuesday held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Mentor Hospital, the system's first in Lake County.
Administrators say the new building will help alleviate increasing demand for health care services in both Lake and Geauga counties. The facility features 34 inpatient observation rooms, 19 emergency department beds, and four operating rooms while offering a wide range of patient resources.
Cleveland Clinic already boasted 10 locations in Lake County (including an express care clinic in Mentor), but no full-fledged hospitals until today. The current closest hospital to Mentor and Lake County resides in Euclid.
Mentor Hospital will officially open its doors on July 11.
