CLEVELAND — A mask is worth a thousand words, and most of them mean that you care about others.
That's the message the Cleveland Clinic Foundation is hoping to make with their new "I Wear Because I Care" campaign urging individuals to wear a mask to protect the ones they love.
In a time when wearing a mask has become a divisive political issue, the nationally-recognized hospital chain believes that their new campaign may be just the thing to remind people of why a mask is more than just a fashion statement.
"Cleveland Clinic is working to change the conversation, and we are asking for your help" the Clinic said in a statement to 3News.
"We all wear masks for different reasons. It may be to protect your parents, a friend with a pre-existing condition, or your vulnerable co-workers."
To take part in the social media campaign, all you have to do is snap a picture in your favorite mask and share it to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with the hashtags "#IWearBecauseICare" and "#MaskOn."
Feel free to include who you wear a mask for.
