CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Clinic wants everyone to know that their locations are safe, and they are taking the extra step to prove it.
The nationally-ranked hospital chain has partnered with the Clorox Company to practice the highest level of cleanliness during the coronavirus pandemic. The partnership includes a new guide for employers, developed by the clinic and Clorox, that helps assure a space is being properly cleaned to stop the spread of germs.
The free online guide, which can be found here, is "intended to help employers train personnel, select effective products, and develop robust cleaning and disinfection processes to create and maintain safer environments." according to a press release. Clorox Chair and CEO Benno Dorer issued the following statement:
"This unique collaboration — bringing to bear Cleveland Clinic’s world-renowned clinical expertise and innovation with our leadership in cleaning and disinfection — will allow us to serve wide-ranging public health needs as we all continue to navigate COVID-19. Importantly, we will collaborate to find solutions, using the best scientific knowledge available, that will meet unforeseen infection control needs."
The organizations are also currently involved in an agreement with United Airlines to promote healthy cleaning and safety protocols. As Cleveland Clinic CEO and President Dr. Tom Mihaljevic said:
"Cleveland Clinic is committed to health, safety and infection prevention. Our dedication has only become stronger amid COVID-19, as we have established processes proven to keep people safe. We believe it is our responsibility to share our expertise with the broader communities and businesses we serve."
