CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is reporting that a maintenance supervisor from the Triskett District has tested positive for COVID-19.
This marks the second RTA employee to test positive for the Coronavirus this week. On Tuesday, the RTA released the news that an employee in the Hayden District had also been tested and received a positive result.
The Cleveland transportation service says that the most recent employee began reporting symptoms on August 22 before testing positive on August 26.
Per the RTA's COVID-19 protocols, all work areas and possible areas of exposure were cleaned and disinfected.
As of August 28, 33 RTA employees have tested positive for COVID-19, and 30 have fully recovered and have returned to work.
