CLEVELAND — Another employee with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority has tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of staff members infected with the coronavirus to five.
The employee’s last day in the office was Friday, April 3.
“Work areas frequented by this employee were disinfected by the staff prior to the start of the next work day,” RTA officials said in a press release Monday morning. “Additionally, other staff members who may have been in contact with this employee were notified/alerted.”
This employee is married to a transit police dispatcher who had previously tested positive, according to RTA officials.
Last week, RTA officials had confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 among its employees.
