Cuyahoga Community College offering free COVID-19 testing three days a week at Metro Campus beginning Nov. 16

Both drive-thru and walk-up testing will be offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until Dec. 30

CLEVELAND — Care Alliance Health Center has announced that they will offer drive-thru and walk-up COVID-19 testing three days a week until the end of the year at the Metropolitan Campus of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®).

The free testing will take place between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from November 16 until December 30, except for Christmas Day. According to a press release from the College, the testing site will be located in the Lot 4 underground parking garage off of Community College Avenue.

The service will be made available to residents of the community as well as Tri-C students, faculty and staff. Testing will be offered regardless of symptom status, insurance status or ability to pay, as the tests will be free to individuals.

No appointment is necessary to receive a test and will be completed on a first-come, first-served basis each day. The Metro Campus is located at 2900 Community College Avenue in Cleveland.

Care Alliance had previously been offering the testing service on those days outside of its Central Avenue clinic. However, the shift to the Metro Campus was made in an effort to provide shelter from the weather while also keeping potentially ill individuals out of public buildings.

Tri-C partnered with Care Alliance during the fall semester to offer weekly testing every Thursday, rotating between the College's four campuses each week. It is expected for that program to continue into the spring semester.
