CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Public Library has announced that due to the spike in COVID-19 cases and the county's stay-at-home advisory, it will revert to curbside/drive-thru service only starting on Thursday, November 19.
Public access to the county's 27 branches will not be available.
"We prioritize the health and safety of our staff and residents and want to do everything in our power to slow the spread of the coronavirus," the library wrote in a letter to cardholders on Wednesday night.
Those who wish to use the system's drive-through window service do not need to schedule a specific pick up time. You should bring your library card or have the library card number associated with the hold in order to pick up material. It is recommended that you arrive at a drive-through location at least 15 minutes before closing to ensure staff will be available to assist you.
Drive-through window service is available at the following 11 locations:
- Beachwood Branch
- Garfield Heights Branch
- Mayfield Branch
- Middleburg Heights Branch
- North Royalton Branch

Curbside service is available at 16 branches county-wide. Customers will be notified when items placed on hold are available to schedule a pickup time. Customers should bring their library card (or have the library card number associated with the hold) and call the branch when they arrive in the parking lot for their scheduled pick up. Staff will then check out the materials and deliver them to your car.
