Sad news for all of you Insane Clown Posse fans out there, as this year's Gathering of the Juggalos festival is the latest event officially postpone amid COVID-19 concerns.
Hosted annually by Psychopathic Records and ICP, the self-proclaimed "biggest family reunion on the planet" was set to take place Aug. 5-8 at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garretsville, Ohio. This would have marked the festival's 21st celebration and fourth go around in Garretsville.
ICP released a statement via their Twitter account Wednesday night announcing they have postponed the event to next year.
"With the global pandemic that is now affecting us all, we are dedicated first and foremost to the safety and health of our family," the statement reads. "That said, at this juncture, it is with a heavy heart we announce that due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we can't possibly in good conscience even consider trying to put on a Gathering during these difficult times."
The Gathering draws thousands of Juggalos from far and wide, donned in JNKO Jeans, Hatchetman apparel and face paint, who are ready to get down with the clown. A variety of events and performances take place throughout the festival, including musical acts from hundreds of artists over the years ranging from Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Ice Cube to P.O.D and Drowning Pool.
"We will endure this together as a Family and the Gathering of the Juggalos will return in 2021, stronger, bigger, and better than ever! Whoop whoop!"
Pour out some Faygo soda for the festival, Juggalos.
