Lake County YMCA members notified of potential coronavirus contact

A person who tested positive for COVID-19 was recently in the Central Y.

LAKE COUNTY, Ohio — The Lake County YMCA issued a statement Wednesday morning regarding a coronavirus-related incident.

"We were informed late last evening that a person testing positive for COVID-19 visited the Central Y on March 12 between 8:30-10:30 a.m. and March 13 between 9:30-11:30 a.m."

The information was reported to YMCA officials by the Lake County General Health District.

"We know from the LCGHD that the individual was enrolled only in two adult exercises classes on those dates. We are working cooperatively with the LCGHD to investigate further and will provide an update to this FAQ page as we know more information."
