Let's Be Clear: Answering your coronavirus questions with specialists from University Hospitals

Will Ujek talked with the medical director for UH's Roe Green Center for Travel Medicine and Global Health, plus the Director of Infection Control.

CLEVELAND — As the number of those infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus increases in the United States, so do the number of questions we have about how to protect ourselves and our loved ones.

How is coronavirus transferred? How worried should we be in Ohio? Will there be a cure anytime soon?

To get some answers, Will Ujek hosted Let's Be Clear with Dr. Keith Armitage, Medical Director for University Hospitals Roe Green Center for Travel Medicine and Global Health. He was also joined by UH's Director of Infection Control, Dr. Elie Saade.

According to the Ohio Department of Health's COVID-19 webpage, there are zero confirmed cases in Ohio, one person under investigation, seven people who have tested negative for COVID-19, and 212 individuals under public health supervision.

The number of deaths in the U.S. is up to 11. Leaders in Congress and the Senate have come to an agreement on a bipartisan deal that would put around $8 billion of emergency funding towards fighting the coronavirus in the U.S.
