Live Nation sets up $10 million 'Crew Nation' fund to support concert crew members affected by COVID-19

Live Nation is contributing an initial $5 million to the fund, then matching the next $5 million given by artists, fans and employees dollar for dollar.

CLEVELAND — The world's largest live-entertainment company is doing its part to help out the people who work behind the scenes to make your concert experience one-of-a-kind.

Live Nation has set up "Crew Nation," as a way to extend a helping hand to the touring and venue crews who depend on concerts to make a living, but are on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Live Nation has committed $10 million to Crew Nation – contributing an initial $5 million to the fund, then matching the next $5 million given by artists, fans and employees dollar for dollar.

"Crew members are the backbone of the live music industry, and we hope you’ll join us in supporting them through this temporary intermission until we can once again unite millions around the world through the power of live music," the company writes on its website.

Artists ranging from U2 and the Eagles, to Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Twenty One Pilots, and Lady Gaga have lent their support to Crew Nation.
