COLUMBUS, Ohio — While restaurants and bars opened their dining rooms today, catering businesses and banquet halls stayed closed. But, as part of a wave of reopening announcements during today's coronavirus press conference, Lt. Gov. Jon Husted announced that they will be eligible to reopen on June 1.
According to Lt. Gov. Husted, catering and banquet halls will be subject to similar safety restrictions as restaurants. Tables will need to be at least six feet apart, congregating will not be allowed, and employees will be required to wear masks, to name a few. For the time being, these services will need to limit crowds to 300 guests or fewer.
