PARMA, Ohio — Parma City Schools is updating its mask policy for the 2021-2022 school year.
The school district says it will lift the mask mandate for adults and children, based upon guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In a document posted on the district's website, there are still plans in place to keep elementary school students who are not yet eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine socially distanced, where it is possible.

Parma City Schools also says it plans to keep an increased number of cleaning staff on hand, and employ the use of cleaning solutions to keep the spread of COVID-19 and other viruses at bay.
In the document, the district said these mandates could change as guidance evolves and with the rise or fall of virus cases in the community.
