For more than a month now, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has been encouraging Ohioans to maintain physical distancing in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
But on Wednesday, DeWine received help from some famous friends.
Before closing his daily press briefing alongside Lt Gov. Jon Husted and Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton, DeWine shared the latest video in the states "In This Together, Ohio" campaign. In it, celebrities from NFL great Peyton Manning, Academy Award winner Allison Janney, Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow, former boxer Buster Douglas, Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez and zookeeper Jack Hanna among others can be seen sharing words of wisdom with Ohioans for getting through the coronavirus pandemic safely.
As of Wednesday, Ohio has had 7,791 positive coronavirus cases, 2,237 of which have resulted in hospitalization, 677 ICU admissions and 361 deaths. Dating back to the discovery of Ohio's first positive coronavirus case on March 9, DeWine has taken a number of measures to encourage physical distancing, including the stay-at-home order that's currently in effect until May 1.
