CLEVELAND — Graduation parties, birthday celebrations and weddings have all been hanging in the balance recently as the world works to slow the spread of coronavirus.
Many have been left with the internal struggle: Should I cancel or postpone the event I've been planning for months?
Party expert Joe Mineo said postponement is a better option than cancellation at this point.
"If you need to downscale your event and still be able to have it, consider that, but the idea of canceling should really be your last resort."
Joe added that if you don’t have a planner, now’s the time to get one because they have the connections you need.
If you don’t want to go that route, try to find the strongest vendor on your team.
He also suggested the new norm may now be Thursday and Friday events.
"What I’ve been saying to my clients is your guests want to be there for you, they know what you’re going through, they are going to do whatever it takes to be there on your special day."
