CLEVELAND — Procter & Gamble is the latest company to help in whatever way they can during this time of COVID-19. And Northeast Ohio is benefitting from their generosity.
On Monday, a shipment of 18,000 face shields from P&G arrived at Cleveland Clinic's main campus.
P&G, along with the help of Cleveland Clinic staff, specifically designed the face shields and replacement shields to optimize effectiveness of the shields.
The companies met between Cincinnati and Cleveland to share the first prototypes, and in total, It took only two weeks from the first call between P&G and the Cleveland Clinic for the masks to be made and shipped to the Clinic’s main campus.
The Cleveland Clinic has received more than 1.2 million gloves, 118,000 face masks, and 46,000 N95 masks in donations over the past few weeks from 90 companies, and has received over $4 million in individual donations.
