CLEVELAND — The Red Cross is asking for help to avoid a blood shortage in Northeast Ohio during the coronavirus pandemic.
Last week alone, the Red Cross announced that over 1,500 blood drives have been cancelled and an estimated 46,000 pints have gone uncollected.
The organization is encouraging anyone who feels healthy at this time to do what you can and donate.

If you are unable to find a blood drive, you can donate at one of the Red Cross donor centers in Akron (501 W. Market St.), Cleveland (3747 Euclid Ave.), and Parma (5585 Pearl Rd.).
