When it comes to the current COVID situation in Northeast Ohio, Summit County has been reduced to the “low” level based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention map.
Summit County Public Health said this change comes “as a result of the decrease in COVID-19 cases, hospital bed usage and hospital admissions.”
The case rate per 100,000 dropped to 152.49 from 228.65, health officials announced Monday.
So what does the green level mean? Here’s the suggested COVID guidance from the CDC:
- Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations.
- Test if you have COVID-19 symptoms.
- Wear a mask if you have been exposure to someone with COVID-19.
- Stay home if you are sick.
- You may choose to wear a mask at any time as an additional precaution to protect yourself and others.
