With COVID-19 cases continuing to rise throughout parts of Northeast Ohio, testing is once again an important tool to slowing down the spread as the holiday season arrives. That's why Summit County Public Health is offering a pair of drive-thru testing events.
The first one is Nov. 23 until 3 p.m. at 1867 W. Market St. in Akron. The second event is at the same location, and will take place next week, Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Summit County Public Health says this option offers onsite rapid COVID-19 testing with results coming within 20 to 30 minutes. There will also be take home rapid testing kits offered. The event is free of charge.
While many may be unable to make the testing events, Summit County Public Health is also offering free rapid COVID-19 at-home tests while supplies last. Those tests can be picked up at 1867 W. Market St., with a limit of four per person. To check availability, call 330-923-4891.
