Three RTA employees being tested for COVID-19

The employees are currently on paid sick leave.

CLEVELAND — Three employees with Cleveland's Regional Transit Authority (RTA) are being tested for coronavirus(COVID-19). 

All three employees were possibly exposed to coronavirus while traveling on cruises. The employees, two members of the RTA police force and one train operator, were notified by their respective cruise lines that they may have come in contact with a COVID-19 infected traveler.

The employees are currently on paid sick leave while following instructions from the CDC and health officials regarding testing and quarantines. 

The RTA ,with the help of health officials and the CDC, is closely monitoring the conditions of all three employees.
