The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority and the Cleveland Department of Public Health are going to be providing free COVID-19 vaccinations and booster shots on Monday, July 11, at the Greater Cleveland Drug Court’s annual Yoga on the Beach from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Those who are interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccination will have the ability to walk up to the Greater Cleveland RTA Community Immunity Bus that will be parked at the Edgewater Park Centennial Plaza located at 7600 Cleveland Memorial Shoreway.
“We are excited to bring the Community Immunity Bus back for the 2nd installment of Yoga on the Beach,” said Natoya Walker-Minor, Deputy General Manager of External Affairs and Administration. “This joint venture builds on last year’s success and provides a safe and convenient option not only for those starting the vaccination process, but also those seeking to boost their protection.”
All three of the major COVID-19 vaccines – Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson – will be available. In order to receive the vaccine, patients must be 18 years or older,or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
“Events such as these, that promote wellness, are at the core of public health,” said CDPH Director Brian Kimball. “Similar to how yoga can increase your strength, vaccination trains your body to withstand disease and helps to prevent the serious short and long-term consequences that can come from COVID-19 infection.”
