Lake County to hold COVID-19 mass vaccination 'Mega-Pods'

Appointments are available for the April 7 clinic at Lakeland Community College.

MENTOR, Ohio — Lake County is set to provide doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to thousands of people at Mega-Point of Dispensing, or "Mega-PODs," sites.

The first "Mega-POD" to vaccinate 5,000 people will be held on Wednesday, March 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mentor High School. Lake County health officials stress that all appointments for the Mentor High School POD clinic are currently filled.

However, a second "Mega-POD" is being planned for Wednesday, April 7 at Lakeland Community College. There are currently 3000 open appointments open for that POD. Click here to register.

Those without email addresses and/or needing assistance with making appointments may call (440) 350-2684 on Mondays and Tuesdays, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Future clinics at Lakeland are also in the process of being scheduled. New appointments will open every Monday.

“Our main priority is to safely vaccinate as many individuals in Lake County who want it, so we can get back to our families, our school, and to work," says Lake County Health Commissioner Ron Graham.
