With COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations surging amid the omicron variant, demand for vaccinations has risen in Lorain County. In response, Lorain County Public Health (LCPH) is expanding its vaccine clinic schedule.
LCPH now offers COVID-19 vaccines and boosters on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at 9880 S. Murray Ridge Road in Elyria. You can schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment online by clicking here.
Other vaccines like polio, meningitis, pneumonia and more will be available at LCPH on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
“We are thrilled that people in Lorain County are continuing to get vaccinated against COVID-19,” says Mark Adams, RS, MPH, health commissioner at LCPH. “Adjusting our vaccine clinic schedule helps us keep as efficient as possible to continue preventing the spread of COVID-19, as well as other vaccine-preventable diseases.”
LCPH offers all brands and types of COVID-19 vaccine, including boosters. Ages five and up may get a COVID-19 vaccine, and ages 12 and up may get a booster (if it’s been more than five months since the second dose of Pfizer/Moderna OR 2 months since the single dose of Johnson & Johnson). Click here for more information on vaccines as well as COVID-19 testing, quarantine and isolation.
LCPH offers all recommended vaccines for children and adults.
