COLUMBUS, Ohio — As access to the COVID-19 vaccines continues to expand, one of the biggest store chains in America is getting in on the action.
Walmart announced Friday that it is now offering vaccines at 145 of its stores across Ohio, along with 27 Sam's Clubs. Of those locations, roughly 40 are in the northeast region of the state.
A full list can be found here.
At the moment, appointments can only be made at Walmart.com/covidvaccine or SamsClub.com/covid, and the stores are also listed on the state of Ohio's vaccination portal. All Ohioans ages 16 and older are currently eligible to get the shots.
Walmart did not specify if the available doses will be from Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson (or all three), but did say customers will get digital reminders when it's time to schedule a second dose. In addition, patients do not have to be Sam's Club members to get vaccinated at those particular stores.
