COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine held his latest press briefing Tuesday on his administration's response to the coronavirus pandemic in Ohio.
More than 20,000 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the state, with more than 1,100 deaths. The number of new day-to-day cases (495) declined for the fifth straight day, but new hospitalizations are at their highest level (147) in at least three weeks.
DeWine was once again joined by Lt. Gov. Jon Husted and Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton. On this day, the major topic was budget cuts, as the governor announced the state will be slashing $775 million from its budget as tax revenues have plummeted amid the shutdown.
