Routine Reboot: Try these exercises to stay fit this fall

Austin Love shows you some of the best ways to stay in shape this season.

CLEVELAND — Looking for a fitness routine reboot this fall? Get outside and take in the beauty of the Cleveland Metroparks!

The "Trail Challenge" is currently underway. Use any form of exercise like hiking, biking, running or walking to complete the challenge.

"Not only are you getting the physical benefit of getting your heart pumping a little bit, but you're also getting the mental health benefits," said Rachel Nagle, Metroparks Outdoor Recreation Manager.

Once you complete 10 of the 25 hikes in the 12 different reservations, not only will you be healthier but you can win prizes and vouchers.

From the great outdoors to stepping inside the ring, one of the best ways to burn that stubborn body fat is throwing on the gloves at Title Boxing Club in Westlake.

"It's one of the hottest workouts going on right now," manager RJ Hickey said. "It's a total body workout."

At Title, there's the option to either go one-on-one with a trainer or in a group class.

An hour workout at Title Boxing Club, one can burn more than 1,000 calories at a time.

"It's heart, lungs, cardiovascular," Hickey said. "It's a great vehicle for burning calories."

Do you need that extra motivation to help you accomplish your goals? Studies say grab a partner. According to a recent study, 95 percent of those who started a weight loss program with friends completed the program. That's compared to 76 percent who tried to do it themselves.

To stay consistent means you need to find a workout you really love. Classpass.com is a great way to test different classes around Northeast Ohio to find a workout program that works for you. The best part, it's free for a whole month.
