Cuyahoga County

 

The Ohio City Film Festival

The first annual Ohio City Film Festival will be held Saturday at the Hildebrandt Building in Lakewood from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Short films from numerous local and national filmmakers will be shown. The event will also feature live music, an outdoor art gallery, Great Lakes beer and tacos from La Plaza. 

The event will conclude with the Guardian Awards. 

Tickets cost $5 per person.

Brooklyn Fall Festival

The festival will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Brooklyn Veteran's Memorial Park.

It will feature live music, a chili cook-off, food trucks, Thirsty Dog Brewery Beer Garden, fall craft sale, bonfire, hayrides, children's activities and more. 

Tents will be set up if it rains.

Geauga County 

 

Huntsburg Pumpkin Festival

The festival will be held this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Live entertainment, a car show, craft displays, a pancake breakfast, games and food vendors will be at the event. 

The event is free to the public. 

The pancake breakfast will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. both days. Breakfast will cost $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for children ages 5-12. Children under 5 years old are free. 

A 4-mile Pumpkin Run and 1-mile Fun Walk will be held Saturday. 

Free parking and shuttle rides will be offered at the Huntsburg Baptist Church and Huntsburg Recreational Park.

Lake County

 

Holden Arboretum Goblins in the Garden

Families and their four-legged friends are invited to the garden this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will feature trick-or-treating, leaf trails, a cornstalk maze, straw pyramid climb, wagon rides, live entertainment, food and the traditional Scarecrow Row. Live music will start at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. 

Attendees are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes. 

The event costs $10 per car for members and $20 per car for nonmembers. 

The event will be held rain or shine. 

 

Lorain County

 

Jet Express Island Cruise

Take the Jet Express to Put-in-Bay for the annual Wine Tasting Festival Saturday. 

The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

You can enjoy wine samples from more than 100 different wineries. 

The Jet Express will depart from Black River Landing at 9:30 a.m. The boat will depart from the island at the end of the festival. Tickets cost $45 per person.

Festival admission costs $6 per person.

Prairie Peddler Festival

Step back in time this Saturday and Sunday at the Prairie Peddler Festival. 

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Live entertainment, craft displays, food and a Kidzone will be at the festival. 

Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6 to 12 and free for children under the age of 6.

The festival will be held rain or shine.

Stark County

 

Free Stark County Fall Farm Tour

The free event will be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Participants can drive to any of the locations to receive a free tour. 

Free tours will be offered at View Good Farms, Windy Way Farms and RG Drage Career Technical Center and Farm.

Animals, educational displays, food and activities will be offered depending on the location.

Summit County

 

Hale Farm and Village Harvest Festival

The festival will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

At the festival, you can learn how to make apple butter, paint a pumpkin, enjoy the corn maze and wagon rides and visit with Johnny Appleseed. 

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for youth and free for members. 

Admission also includes access to the heritage gardens and craft and trade demonstrations.

Norton Cider Festival

The 27th annual Norton Cider Festival will be held this weekend. 

The event will feature a parade, food, entertainment, apple decorating contest, crafters, petting zoo, car show, magical train and inflatables for kids, an outdoor movie and fireworks. 

It will take place Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Tuscarawas County

 

Atwood Fall Festival

The annual fall festival will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Atwood Lake Park. 

It will feature food, music, homemade crafts, hands-on displays, entertainment, exhibits, horse and pony wagon rides, an antique engine show and more. 

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Admission costs $5 per person. Children ages 11 and under will receive free admission. On Friday, seniors can receive discounted admission for $2. 

Weekend passes can be purchased for $10 per person.

Ohio Swiss Festival 

The Swiss Festival will be held this Friday and Saturday. 

It will feature an antique car parade, rides, cheese eating contest, wine testing tent, yodeling contest, polka music, a 5K, 10K and 1-mile walk/run and much more. 

On Friday, the event will start at 11:30 a.m. It will begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Woosterfest

The 2015 Woosterfest will be held this Friday and Saturday.

Festivities will start on Friday at 12 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. The festival will end at 11 p.m. both nights.

The event will have live entertainment, food, a cornhole tournament, art and craft vendors, Biergarten, Winegarten and Kinderplatz. 

Admission to the festival is free.
