PARMA, Ohio — The Parma Prosecutor's Office is investigating after two people were injured during an accidental firing incident at the Parma Armory.
According to reports, a 43-year-old man accidentally discharged his firearm on December 23 around 5: 30 p.m. The bullet from the Glock 17, 9mm handgun went through the man's hand before striking a 27-year-old woman in hip. The bullet exited through the woman's leg.
Both the man and the woman, who were visiting the armory together, were both transported to MetroHealth Hospital for treatment. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The details surrounding how the firearm was accidentally discharged remain unknown at this time.
The incident remains under investigation. The Parma Armory is located at 5301 Hauserman Road.
