The results from the 21st FirstEnergy Akron Marathon are in!

Dylan Garritano (male) and Joanna Line (female) have taken down their respective full marathon vents with times of 2:25:06 and 2.52:03, respectively. 

“The Akron community has once again united in support of the Blue Line,” shared Anne Bitong, president/CEO of the Akron Marathon. “With remarkable race times, the dedication of thousands of volunteers, and the unwavering support of our generous sponsors, we are thrilled with how Akron showed up today!”

This upcoming weekend, officials are expecting thousands of runners to take to the streets of Akron to compete in the 21st FirstEnergy Akron Marathon, half marathon and team relays. 

Below is a guide of everything you need to know ahead of the 21st Akron Marathon: 

Friday, Sept. 29

Health and Fitness Expo 

  • Location: John S. Knight Center 
  • Time: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Kid's Fun Run

  • Time: 5:30 p.m. 
  • Start: Akron Children's Hospital 
  • Finish: Canal Park Stadium 
  • All children 12 and under are invited to participate in a free 1-mile fun run. All participants will receive a gift, medal and snack. 

Saturday, Sept. 30 

21st Running of the FirstEnergy Akron Marathon, Half Marathon & Team Relay

  • 6:59 a.m. – Wheelchair & Push Team Division Start
