AKRON, Ohio — An investigation is underway after shots were fired at a 36-year-old man at an intersection in Akron.
Akron Police says the incident happened on Thursday at around 6:20 p.m. when the victim was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Eastwood Avenue.
The driver behind the victim in a white SUV allegedly started honking his horn and yelling at him to hurry up. After the victim exchanged words with the suspect's vehicle, the white SUV pulled in front of the victim's car and began firing shots at him.
According to Akron Police, the victim's vehicle was struck, but he was not injured. Police also say that a resident in the 700 block of Frase Avenue reported that the gunfire struck her house.
At this time, no arrests have been made, and the only description of the suspect is a white male.
