AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department has released multiple photos (see below) of the suspect wanted for what is being called an ambush shooting that happened Saturday evening in the parking lot of a Circle K in the 900 block of Kenmore Boulevard.
In new details released Tuesday morning, Akron police say the suspect was hiding behind dumpsters and opened fire on the victim, shooting him six times around 7:30 p.m.
“Officers administered emergency first aid, including applying a tourniquet, until EMS arrived,” police said.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was taken to an Akron hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. He’s currently listed in serious condition, according to Akron police.

If you happen to see the suspect, Akron police warn that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
“Do not approach,” they wrote on Facebook. “Call 911.”
