AKRON, Ohio — A 30-year-old man was found shot to death in a car riddled with bullet holes in Akron on Wednesday.
According to Akron Police, officers responded to a residence located in the 2200 block of 6th Street after the deceased man was found by a relative. Upon arriving, the officers discovered the man unresponsive in a nearby driveway with multiple apparent gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The victim's car was discovered parked on the street "with shattered glass and riddled with bullet holes." The victim's relative responded to the scene before calling the police.
Based on a preliminary investigation, it is believed that an unknown suspect approached the victim while he was sitting in his parked vehicle and fired shots, striking the victim. The name of the victim is currently being withheld. An autopsy will be conducted by the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
