An Akron man who told police he was robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday night has been arrested on drug trafficking charges.

According to a police report, officers arrived at a home on the 900 block of Peerless Ave. just before midnight and were told by the home's owner—59-year-old Nolan Heflin—that two men with hoodies held guns to him and told him to "tell him where the money is." Heflin said he was forced into the bathtub, while his daughter ran out the back door.

One of the robbery suspects—30-year-old Markus Cosby—barricaded himself inside the home but was later arrested without incident, while the other—a 16-year-old boy—ran away but was later taken into custody behind the home, holding a purse that contained two revolvers (one of which was stolen from Heflin), "large" amounts of cash, and 422 grams of marijuana. Both where charged with aggravated robbery and burglary, while the teen also faces various other lesser charges.

After Heflin signed a residential search waver, however, investigators discovered two more guns in the home along with a digital scale, crack cocaine, and two jars of marijuana on the front porch. He was then himself arrested, charged with drug trafficking, drug paraphernalia, and weapons under disability.

The incident remains under investigation.
