AKRON, Ohio — A 13-year-old boy was taken to an Akron hospital after being shot, according to the Akron Police Department.
Officers responded to a residence on the 1100 block of Ericsson Avenue at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday morning after getting reports of a shooting in the area.
When officers arrived to the scene, they found evidence that a shooting had taken place, but no victim. Moments after they arrived, they were notified that a 13-year-old boy had been shot and transported to Summa Health Akron City Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A suspect or suspects have not been identified at this time.
