AKRON, Ohio — The Akon Police Department is seeking the public's help identifying and locating the person responsible for stealing a bridge.
The Department took to Facebook on Friday, December 10 detailing the situation. According to officials, the 58’ long, 10’ wide, & 6’ high bridge was formerly installed at Middlebury Run Park. The structure has now been missing for over a month.
According to police, the bridge was being stored on the west side of Seiberling St., behind the Harwick Standard Corporation. On November 3, police say someone "had cleared brush around it and removed the treated deck boards." Just days later, on November 11, the entire structure had been removed.
Anyone with any information on the bridge, it's whereabouts, or the person responsible is urged to contact Akron Police Detective D. Forney at 330-375-2464.
