Akron police: Woman found unresponsive after being shot, later pronounced dead

When officers arrived to the scene, they found a citizen attempting to render first aid to the unresponsive woman.

AKRON, Ohio — Akron police are investigating the death of a 34-year-old woman after she was found unresponsive in her car on Monday.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of West Market Street at approximately 1:30 p.m. after receiving a call about a woman who had been shot. When officers arrived to the scene, they found a citizen attempting to render first aid to the unresponsive woman  

She was immediately transported to Akron General Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Akron police ask anyone with information to call their Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490 or 330-375-2Tip.
