AKRON, Ohio — Akron police say a 14-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after being shot Saturday night and investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect responsible.
According to a release, officers responded to the 700 block of Eugene Street just before 10 p.m. and found the teen with "apparent gunshot wounds."
"Officers administered emergency first aid, including applying a chest seal and a tourniquet, until the EMS arrived," officials stated.
The teen was taken to Akron Children's Hospital with "serious but non-life-threatening injuries."
Akron police say its investigators "are working to analyze the evidence collected and are diligently seeking to identify the suspect responsible for the shooting."
