AKRON, Ohio — There was a big traffic alert for drivers in Akron as police reported all lanes of I-76 East / I-77 South were closed near Lakeshore Boulevard due to "multiple accidents."
This closure was located on the stretch of roadway between the Kenmore Leg and Central Interchange.
"Please AVOID the area until further notice," police said on Facebook at 8:11 a.m.
ODOT traffic cameras showed bumper-to-bumper traffic with delays stretching beyond Copley Road at 8:40 a.m.
Akron police said the road reopened as of 9:50 a.m.
