AKRON, Ohio — As the cleanup from the winter storm is underway here in Northeast Ohio, the impact from the snow continues with various closings throughout the region.
The Akron Zoo can be added to that list.
The zoo said on Friday that it would not open its doors today, Feb. 4, due to the inclement weather conditions.
As of now, the zoo is set to reopen as normal tomorrow, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. and remain open until 4 p.m. This is subject to change, however, based on the current weather conditions.
Those who wish to visit the Akron Zoo are strongly recommended to purchase tickets in advance online. Doing so gives zoo goers the opportunity to skip the line at the door and save money on the price of admission as well. However, those that are members of the Akron Zoo do not need to reserve tickets online in advance, but they are reminded to bring their digital membership card and photo identification for their visit.
