Al Roker coming to Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall as featured speaker with 3News’ Betsy Kling

Roker once worked for WKYC here in Cleveland.

AKRON, Ohio — Our friend, Al Roker, is returning to Northeast Ohio next month as the featured speaker for the 2020 Delta Gamma Lectureship in Values and Ethics.

The event happens Thursday, April 2 at E.J. Thomas Hall. Tickets are available to the public for $10.

3News’ chief meteorologist Betsy Kling will join Roker for the event.

“The goal of the lectureships is to establish a venue on college campuses where values and ethics could be discussed in an open format,” according to a press release from the University of Akron.

While you can watch Roker every week on NBC’s Today, the nationally recognized meteorologist once worked with us here in Cleveland at 3News -- and you can still see him occasionally join our Go morning show to chat with Hollie Strano, Maureen Kyle and Dave Chudowsky.
