Man arrested in connection to Akron shooting that injured 4 people

25-year-old Delrico Carmona of Canton was arrested in connection to an Akron shooting that injured four people on Saturday, July 6.

AKRON, Ohio — A 25-year-old Canton man has been arrested in connection to a shooting in Akron that injured four people, including a 4-year-old child.

Akron police say Delrico Carmona of Canton was arrested at his residence on Sunday, July 7, by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. 

Thomas was charged with four counts of felonious assault. 

The shooting happened on Saturday, July 6, in the 800 block of Morningview Avenue. 

According to Akron police, the shooting left four people injured, including a 4-year-old child. The adult victims ranged from 33-52 years old. 

In an update on Monday morning, Akron police noted that three of the victims in the shooting sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A 33-year-old woman is currently in critical condition.
