If you've spent time living in Columbus, or have friends and family from that area, there's a barbeque spot you've likely heard mentioned a few times.
Soon, Northeast Ohioans will have the chance to explore all the hype.
Columbus favorite City Barbeque has announced opening dates for two Northeast Ohio locations, starting with a spot in Fairlawn set to open in May.
The brand's website also says a location is coming to Chagrin Boulevard in Beachwood in November.
The Akron area location will start serving Northeast Ohioans at 2870 West Market Street. The restaurant will feature the same smoked meats and signature barbeque sauces found at other City Barbeque locations.
“Our fans have been asking us to come to the Akron-Cleveland area for years and we’re excited to finally make that happen,” VP of Marketing Brian Hipsher said in a news release. “We look forward to serving and creating happiness in Fairlawn!”

City Barbeque has several locations across the state, as well as restaurants in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and North Carolina.
