AKRON, Ohio — A dog was found alive by its owner following a house fire in Akron.
Akron fire officials say they were called around 7 p.m. for a fire on Mercer Avenue. When firefighters arrived they found trash burning in the basement of the home and were able to extinguish the flames.
It was reported that a dog was inside the home when the fire began. The owner of the home located the dog alive in the basement of the house.
No injuries were reported.
